Lateral Launch Systems & Locating for Gas Line Bore Projects

Since most gas line replacements are drilled along the right-away of the street or road they cross the laterals from each house going out to the street and locating where that lateral is can be quite tricky at times if the home owner doesn’t have a clean-out access to their sewer line.

 

Our remote controlled tractor camera systems allow us to access the sewer mains from manholes and run up the the line to each lateral. At the lateral we are able to remotely launch another camera up the lateral line so that it can be located in the right-away area where the drilling or excavation is going to take place. We are able to reach areas with our Lateral Launch system as far as 500’ away if the pipe conditions are clean and accessible.
